Day 1 — Stand-Up & Plan the Week

Objective: SWBAT identify what's on track, what's blocked, and what shifts this week.
Do-Now (5): Did / Doing / Blocked written. • Circle (5): Single word. • Mini-Lesson (10): Stand-up etiquette + when to escalate to teacher vs solve in team. • Practice (25): Teams stand-up, then rebuild week plan against Gantt. • Close (5): Submit revised week plan.

Day 2 — Project Autopsy (Pre-Mortem Re-do)

Objective: SWBAT identify what is currently threatening their project (not just what could).
Do-Now (5): "What's quietly going wrong that no one's saying out loud?" • Circle (5): Roses/thorns. • Mini-Lesson (10): "Project autopsy while still alive" — name the truth before it kills you. • Practice (25): Teams run honest autopsy; rebuild risk mitigation. Teacher rotates. • Close (5): "The thing we have to fix this week is ___."

Day 3 — Work Block

Objective: SWBAT produce concrete deliverables.
Do-Now (5): Personal task list for the period. • Circle (5): Quick. • Practice (40): Heads-down work block; teacher conferences with each team for 5 min. • Close (5): What did you ship today?

Day 4 — Mid-Capstone Review with Partner

Objective: SWBAT present mid-progress to community partner and receive feedback.
Do-Now (5): Final prep. • Circle (5): Brave check-in. • Practice (40): Teams meet with partner (in person or video) for 10 min each; structured feedback form. • Close (5): Log feedback.

Day 5 — Friday Circle: Pivot or Persist

Do-Now (5): "Based on partner feedback, do we pivot or persist?" • Circle (15): Friday Circle + round on the question. • Practice (25): Teams update Gantt; portfolio upload of mid-review notes. • Close (5): Leader of the Week.

4-pt rubric: Honest autopsy • Partner feedback received & integrated • Updated plan • Visible deliverable progress.

Differentiation

Stretch — Liaisons may run partner meeting solo with teacher silent observer. Foundational — sentence frames for the partner meeting.

Day 3 work block is sub-stable.

Bring in a project manager parent/partner Day 2 to coach the autopsy.

Hard Truth

Some teams will be in trouble this week. Do not rescue. Coach. Use the autopsy. Failure is a teacher.
