# Week 15 — Ethics & Integrity (Unit 3 Capstone)
**Unit 3: Lead Teams & Projects • Domain III**
**Essential Question:** What do I do when no one is watching?
**Key Performance:** Ethical Dilemma Case Write-Up (1 page) + capstone proposal pitch (end of week).

---

## Day 1 — Integrity Defined
**Objective:** SWBAT define integrity as the alignment of values, words, and actions.
**Do-Now (5):** "A time I kept my word at a cost." • **Circle (5):** Single word. • **Mini-Lesson (10):** Integrity ≠ being good; it = being whole. Walk through V→W→A model. • **Practice (25):** Pair stories — share a time of alignment vs misalignment. • **Close (5):** "An area of misalignment I want to close is ___."

## Day 2 — Ethical Frameworks
**Objective:** SWBAT apply 3 ethical lenses (rights, outcomes, virtue) to a case.
**Do-Now (5):** "Is it ever okay to lie? When?" • **Circle (5):** Roses/thorns. • **Mini-Lesson (10):** 3 lenses — Kantian (rights/duties), utilitarian (outcomes), virtue (character). Each illuminates differently. • **Practice (25):** Small groups apply all 3 lenses to a case (e.g., a friend asks you to lie about their whereabouts). • **Close (5):** "The lens I lean on is ___."

## Day 3 — Dilemmas Closer to Home
**Objective:** SWBAT analyze a school- or community-relevant dilemma in writing.
**Do-Now (5):** Pick a case from the deck (academic dishonesty, social media, friend group, family loyalty). • **Circle (5):** Check-in. • **Mini-Lesson (10):** Case write-up structure — Facts → Stakeholders → Lenses → Decision → Cost. • **Practice (25):** Silent drafting + 1 peer read. • **Close (5):** Continue tomorrow.

## Day 4 — Finish the Case + Capstone Proposal Polish
**Objective:** SWBAT finalize ethics case AND polish capstone proposal for pitch.
**Do-Now (5):** Re-read your case. • **Circle (5):** Check-in. • **Practice (40):** Split time — 20 min finalize case + 20 min team capstone proposal polish (with teacher coaching rotation). • **Close (5):** Both submitted.

## Day 5 — Capstone Proposal Pitch Night (or class-time pitch)
**Do-Now (5):** Team pitch run-through. • **Circle (10):** Brave circle. • **Practice (30):** Teams pitch 4-min proposals to a panel (admin, partner, alum, parent). Panel asks 2 questions. Sign-off given or revisions assigned. • **Close (5):** Leader of the Week + Unit 4 preview.

## Assessment
- 4-pt ethics rubric: **Stakeholder identification • Lens application • Decision clarity • Honest cost accounting.**
- Capstone proposal sign-off (binary: approved / revise by Monday).
## Differentiation
ML/EL — case may be written in home language with English summary. Foundational — provide a 1-page case template; stretch — students may submit a case from a current news event.
## Flex Day Note
This is the last week of Unit 3 — use any extra time for flex / make-up.
## Sub Plan
Day 2 lens application is sub-stable.
## Stretch & Swap
Bring in a guest panel including a public servant for the pitch (they love this).
